We are looking for a proactive, team player and passionate Coordinator for our Teaching & Community Support project. This role is deeply embedded in the community, and offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself into Zanzibari life whilst leading and supporting volunteers who come to work on the project. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of volunteers, ensuring they have an unforgettable experience whilst staying safe, healthy and entertained both on project and at our volunteer house.

Overall Responsibilities

You will be responsible for coordinating and developing the teaching and community project. You will live in volunteer house and be responsible in making sure our international volunteers are comfortable in their accommodations and enjoying their volunteer experience. You will need to balance your time between managing relationships, planning activities, actively seeking new partnerships to expand the programme, encouraging and supporting volunteers and reviewing the projects and proposing changes based on feedback.

Logistics:

  1. Full-time accommodation and meals are provided at the volunteer house
  2. One return flight will be reimbursed
  3. Stipend: dependent on experience (approx. $500)
