Why African Impact
”My time at African Impact as a volunteer was incredible. After volunteering all over the world with various different organizations, African Impact stood out amongst the others. I returned home to work an office job. Every day, I found myself wanting to do more meaningful work. I then turned to African Impact and found my way back as a staff member. Now, each day, I get to help other like-minded people like me start their volunteering journey. I am so grateful I was given this opportunity to become an outlet for others to encourage meaningful work throughout Africa. I couldn't be happier that I did!

Volunteering and interning in Africa is what we do, it’s in our DNA. We’ve built our very own projects – hand-in-hand with local communities – since 2004! Aside from being the trusted specialists on volunteering in Southern Africa, our staff know the best places to go, as well as the hidden treasures and secret spots that take you beyond a regular tourist trip.
We are about real, measurable change
Truly understanding the impact of our projects – and your contribution – is what makes African Impact the industry leaders. In fact, we believe this is the only way to justify bringing you here. We set long-term objectives with our local partners, measure everything we do, and undertake valuable monitoring and evaluation of our projects, meaning anyone joining us on a short-term basis can still contribute to a long-term impact.
