Staff
Meet Neema Nyoike, our Volunteer Project Coordinator in Limuru. Neema was born and raised in the Githunguri constituency of Kiambu County, Kenya. Before joining this team, she devoted her time and efforts to serving at Mamlaka Hill Chapel Ruaka, where she found purpose in contributing to the well-being of others. She also volunteered with an organization focused on educating adolescent girls about STIs and empowering them to start their own businesses. During her free time, Neema finds solace in listening to musical melodies, and she often indulges her culinary creativity by cooking and baking. As she joins the organization, she is committed to continuous growth, learning, and wholehearted dedication to advancing its mission and objectives.

DO I NEED TO BE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL TO JOIN THIS INTERNSHIP?
No, but it is preferable for you to have some experience in the areas of medical and healthcare. On enquiry to join this internship, our Destination Specialists will request a copy of your CV or resumé to ascertain whether you can become an intern.
WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL I BE DOING AS A MEDICAL INTERN?
Depending on your qualifications and where you are on your healthcare professional journey, you might assist nurses and doctors, provide home based care in the local community, as well as participate in health education workshops. No matter what your level, you’ll work alongside local professionals and gain valuable experience.
HOW DOES THE MEDICAL INTERNSHIP DIFFER TO THE VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY?
Medical interns will be assisting on far more complex tasks, such as assisting in the maternity wards. You may even assist with a birth!
