Over the years, African Impact has partnered with various foster care homes and pre-schools in Africa that care for children from 6 months to 7 years old. We work hard to provide only the most ethical and impactful opportunities to volunteer with kids in Africa. Led by teams of responsible and enthusiastic staff, the end-of-day goal is to empower young children about how they can start their education journey and activate an exciting future that will change their lives. If you’re keen on volunteering with children in Africa, our volunteer programs offer you a way to do this in an impactful, sustainable way.

Journey to Africa to become a part of a larger support system for vulnerable children through important childcare volunteer work. As an African Impact volunteer with children, you’ll spend your days at day care centers, pre-schools, and foster care homes in under-served communities, providing stimulating and educational programs for young kids from troubled backgrounds. You’ll become part of our ongoing early childhood development programs, with a specific emphasis on helping young children to prepare for their next step – primary school.

Yes! Our childcare volunteering programs begin with an initial phase of intensive training, alongside fellow volunteers, that will prepare you for your childcare community placement. During this training we’ll go through our Child Protection Policy in-depth, outlining strict guidelines all volunteers must adhere to while volunteering with children through our projects. We’ll also discuss essential guidelines for safe child interactions and ways in which volunteers can be engaging and inspiring mentors for youth at their projects.
