We invite you to Livingstone

Put your hands to work in the clinics and wards that keep this community healthy. Alongside Zambian doctors, nurses, and midwives, you’ll take part in real, hands-on medical work: ward rounds, maternal care, home-based visits, and more.

Whether you come as an individual volunteer, a medical student on an internship, or part of a university or school group, you’ll join the same base we’ve run in Livingstone for more than two decades. Alongside the clinical work, you can get involved in teaching, women’s empowerment, and eco education projects that run in the same community, all year round.

Student Voices

"My elective in Livingstone fundamentally changed how I view medicine. Working without the diagnostic tools I was used to forced me to hone my clinical skills. The support from the local staff was incredible."

Sarah Jenkins

Medical Elective, University of Bristol

"The home-based care visits were the most impactful part of my trip. Seeing patients in their own environment gave me a completely different perspective on holistic care and public health challenges."

Michael Chen

Pre-Med Internship, UCLA

"As a newly qualified physio, this was the perfect challenge. The community clinic relies heavily on volunteers to run their rehab programs. I felt valued, safe, and part of a real community."

Emma Van der Berg

Physiotherapy Graduate, South Africa
