About African Impact, Zimbabwe

  • Our pride… African Impact offers a safe and supervised environment for travellers to encounter this remarkable continent. We are a family-run organisation with over 20 years of experience in African travel and a proud record of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Our place… African Impact is based in Zimbabwe, Southern Africa and works in partnership with volunteers from around the world. Because we are one of the only volunteer organisations based on the ground in Africa, we assure you that every programme you participate in has a genuine cause and all funds generated remain within Africa for the benefit of these projects. As a company rooted in Africa, our local knowledge is invaluable.
  • Our passion… for the people, environment and wildlife of this continent means that we will go out of our way to ensure that you make the most of your African adventure.
  • Our people… The African Impact team of office and field staff is made up of people with vast experience living, working and travelling in Africa. Whether working in administration, as tour guides or drivers, team members have an unparalleled passion and enthusiasm for their work. Many of our assistant field workers are past volunteers who came to Africa as volunteers and are yet to leave! African Impact also has a network of partners on the continent that enables us to offer diverse volunteer and travel options across the continent.

Our Goals

  • To facilitate the social development and economic upliftment of Africa through carefully designed volunteer projects
  • To play a pivotal role in the research and conservation of Africa's environment and to ensure volunteers understand just how important it is to volunteer in Africa
  • To provide travellers and volunteers with a holistic African travel and working experience that includes an authentic encounter with local communities
  • To see negative perceptions of Africa challenged through the development of cross-cultural relationships, shared experiences and increased awareness.
