It boasts some of the best game viewing on the continent, and fascinating ancient cultures that belong both to this dark continent and to the travellers that brought with them spicy Eastern as well as stoic British Colonial influence.

Tanzania Visas
Most travellers to Tanzania require visas issued in advance if your country of residence has a Tanzanian Embassy.
If your country of residence does not have a Tanzanian Embassy you are able to purchase a visa at point of entry into the country, which include the International Airports at Dar-es-Salaam, Zanzibar Island and the border crossing point from Kenya to Tanzania.
Tanzania Health, Vaccinations, HIV/AIDS & Drinking Water
Malaria -
Malaria prophylactics recommended by your personal physician are necessary. As well as insect repellent and covering yourself up with long trousers and light cotton long-sleeved shirts in the evenings.
Vaccinations -
Hepatitis A, Polio, Typhoid
Vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory and be sure to have your vaccination record of yellow fever with you when you arrive.
HIV/AIDS -
HIV/AIDS is a risk and it is recommended that you take all the necessary precautions.
It is not necessary to drink bottled water in Tanzania.

Tanzania Weather & Climate
- Weather is typically tropical along the coastline, with predominantly hot and humid weather.
- Further inland and towards the highlands it can often be chilly in the evenings and early mornings.
- Coastal areas in Tanzania are said to have two rainy seasons: shorter rains in December and January and the long rains in April, May and the beginning of June.
- Further inland there is only one wet season from November to January.
- Temperatures throughout remain warm during the rainy season, so bring light waterproofs.
