NEWS African Impact - September/October 2007

Newsletters » September/October 2007

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our latest newsletter! This edition highlights the official Stage 2 release of our first group of lions. The lion release took place in September within a conservation area in the Zimbabwe Midlands. Read on for a special report on the release from our ALERT trust Chief Operating Officer, David Youldon.

We would also like to officially welcome Anna Burn as our new Senior Project Manager at African Impact.

Please also visit our website to find out more about our new Soccer and Community Development Programme in Mozambique which involves amazing aspects of rural home-building, orphange re-building and island exploration. Volunteers are based a minutes walk away from the beach and within sight of the World Heritage Site, Bazaruto Archipelago. The Bazaruto cluster of Islands is ideal for diving, so you can do your PADI certified scuba diving course on site.

Find out more about our current project special offer on National Geographinc Camera manning at Mashatu waterhole ‘Pete’s Pond’ - volunteers are urgently needed for this and will be facilitationg the live-streaming of footage from this nature’s playground to the world!

This newsletter also features information on PATHFINDERS – our partner organisation that focuses on ‘Responsible Adventure Expeditions with a difference’ in Africa. Climb Kilimanjaro; Raft the Nile; Dhow safaris and Scuba Diving in the World Heritage Site Bazaruto Archipelago off the Mozambican coast; bush survival courses in Hwange National Park, Kayak the mighty Zambezi River… and more.
