Hi Everyone!
WHERE DID DECEMBER AND JANUARY GO???
Once again I find myself apologising for the sporadic nature of our newsletters!
Whilst it’s not excuse, it can be said that December disappeared into the bottomless abyss of wedding preparations for me, and January lent itself to honeymoon and trying to catch up on all the work missed in between. Because of that, this newsletter will focus on the events of wrapping up 2006, and looking forward in to 2007 and all that this year has in store for African Impact.
This edition will include updates on our Lion release and rehabilitaiton programme, which is taking bold steps towards our first release date in Zambia, which is currently pegged at around August this year. Watch this space for further updates though - we will also soon be launching the ALERT website, under the careful eye of the Executive Diretor for this trust, David Youldon. Africacn Encounter supports the trust in Zambia which focuses on African Lion and Environmental Research (Trust).
Also read on for our current special offers, outlines of this years East African Summer Expeditions and feedback from volunteers who have recently spent time on our programmes.
Please also visit our website to find out more about our new Mozambique Community and Soccer Development programme! We are all ready to go with accepting volunteers into this exciting project, where you wiill be based 1 minutes walk from the beach and within sight of the World Heritage Site Bazaruto Archipelago (cluser of Islands) – the project fee also includes a PADI certified diving course.

This newsletter also features information on PATHFINDERS – our partner organisation that focuses on Adventure Expeditions with a difference in Africa. Climb Kilimanjaro; Raft the Nile; Dhow safaris and island trekking in the World Heritage Site Bazaruto Archipelago off the Mozambican coast; bush survival courses in Hwange National Park, Kayak the mighty Zambezi River… and more.
