We visited a schools’ development programme called SoftPower Education who are involved with the local community in the Jinja area, near the source of the Nile in Uganda. We are planning on opening this programme up to African Impact volunteers who will be able to get involved in what SoftPower are doing in the area, under the umbrella of African Impact, and with the same facilitation and care that we offer to all of our volunteers in our other programmes. The SoftPower initiative has had immense success in this jungled corner of the world, and the base area is a kayakers’ heaven! Jambo!
