Sean Anderson
Operations Manager for East Africa
Sean is a 5th Generation Zimbabwean, and a graduate of the University of Cape Town. Having spent the last 2 years living in Kenya and having traveled there extensively in the past, Sean’s local knowledge and passion for East Africa is unparalleled. Along with Sean, our team of staff in Nairobi are an asset to our work and expeditions in this amazing part of the continent. |

Sarah Graham
Project Development and Marketing
Sarah is a 4th generation Zimbabwean, and is a Marketing and Social Science graduate of the University of Cape Town. She is involved with marketing and project development for African Impact. The continent of Africa and the study of languages are two of Sarah’s real passions. Getting sustainable and measurable results out of work based in Africa, and being able to travel to different intriguing destinations on a regular basis, makes her even more passionate about the work that African Impact is involved in. |

Quinton Blake
Mozambique Project Manager
Quinton is a local Zimbabwean and Dive Master. He is co-managing our African Impact arm in Mozambique, as well as managing the Pathfinders adventure expeditions that will be going through Vilanculos. Quinton heads up our dive classes in Vilanculos and will be your instructor if you decide to take the PADI course at our project. |

Nathan Rabinovich
Victoria Falls Project Manager
Nathan is a local Zimbabwean and a Victoria Falls native. Nathan has been involved in our lion programme in Victoria Falls since its conception in April 2005 and has been a valuable part of the project ever since. His love and knowldge for the bush and the lions we work with will leave you inspired. |

Mike Sweet
Hwange & Matobo National Parks Project Manager
After graduating from a BSc (hons) Zoology degree at Newcastle University, UK Mike headed into the field to gain the valuable experience needed to follow his chosen path as a field biologist. Since then his work has taken him through countries such as Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Madagascar and currently in Zimbabwe. Working with both government and non-government organsiations, a variety of field based research census techniques have been taught to him and developed by numerous specialists in differing fields from Birds and Bats to Mammals and Reptiles. |

Lucie Scriven
Hwange & Matobo National Parks Project Manager
Graduated at the University of East Anglia in a BSc with honours for Animal Science and Conservation. Lucie learnt field based work including many survey techniques and animal identification, behaviour and reserve design and management. Since graduating she has worked in the Philippines for a conservation project conducting a Rapid Biodiversity Index and then headed to Madagascar working in some of the countries zoos and parks with the Madagascan Faunal Group. |

Katy Standish
Antelope Park - Project Manager
Katy Standish is our newest Project Manager at Antelope Park and joined us in May 2007. Katy finished University in the UK in 2005 and then spent the past year backpacking around Asia and Australia. Katy has a background in environmental science and has spent several Summers leading conservation work in the rainforests of Indonesia. She loves being outdoors and doing activities like hiking and camping so has no problem spending her days leading lion walks and working with our volunteers! |

Jim Cowell
Antelope Park Project Manager
Jim volunteered with us in 2006 and returned at the end of his round the world trip to be based at Antelope Park. Along with Ben, Jim is continuing to develop our Antelope Park programme into our flagship conservation project. Both he and Ben are working closely with David Youldon on our lion release and rehabilitation programme. |

Greg Bows
Project Development and Marketing Co-ordinator
Greg first came to Africa in 2002 on a Gap year. After traveling East and Southern Africa, Greg fell in love with Africa's people and wildlife. He worked in South Africa in monitoring wild lions before joining African Impact in May 2003. Greg has since run several programs including the Antelope Park Lion Rehabilitation Program and is now the Operations Manager for African Impact Zambia. |

Gemma
Livingstone, Zambia
Gemma studied Psychology at university in York, England. Following her degree she was an Au Pair in Geneva, Switzerland for a year where she fluently learnt French. She has spent the last 7months on a round the world trip and Africa was the next stop. She is looking forward to experiencing the African culture and diverse surroundings specifically Livingstone, Zambia. |

David Youldon
African Impact Senior Project Manager and Executive Director for ALERT (African Lion and Environmental Research Trust)
David first came to the Antelope Park programme in Zimbabwe in 2004 as a volunteer, with a general interest in big cats. Whilst there he came to understand the need for a rehabilitation programme like this, and truly believes that this programme will succeed in repopulating Africa’s national parks with Lions. David came back in 2005 and was asked to stay on and facilitate the Antelope Park volunteer programme. ‘To watch and work with small cubs as they grow into seasoned hunters is such a privilege and provides great satisfaction. It does not get better than this’. David has since expanded his horizons and is now heading up our release campaign and managing the ALTERT trust. |

Claire Ward
Mozambique Project Manager
Claire first volunteered with us in Zimbabwe in 2005 and has since been involved in project management in Zambia. Claire and Quinton are now heading up our Mozambique project developments and have already made a home for themselves in the beach village of VIlanculos where our community support and soccer programme is in the exciting early stages. |

Antelope Park Project Manager
Ben is currently co-managing our Antelope Park with Jim Cowell and they have already shown themselves to be a formidable and dedicated force! Ben’s passion for the lions is evident in his every approach to his role as project manager. |

Anna Burn
African Impact Senior Project Manager
Anna has a BSc Hons in Outdoor Education and has vast field experience having worked in the past with World Challenge, and in leading travel expeditions, managing operations and training crew around the world with reputable travel organisations.
Anna is responsible for the senior management of African Impact projects, and much of her time is spent traveling between project locations to ensure that we are doing our utmost to facilitate high-quality and sustainable work, which we believe is our responsibility to our volunteers, and the projects, communities and conservation areas that they serve. |

Andrew and Wendy Conolly
Directors of African Encounter
The African Encounter team, of which African Impact is the volunteering arm, is led by Andrew and Wendy Conolly, who have more than twenty years experience in the safari, tourism and hospitality industry. Through African Impact, they hope to benefit the people of Africa and celebrate the continent's richly diverse landscapes and wildlife. |

Cape Town Project Manager
Amanda is a native Australian who has recently immigrated to South Africa. Having worked 15 years in the Australian police force, Amanda has amazing people skills and a gift for making volunteers feel welcome and easily able to fit into our community projects here. |

Nikki Brown
Victoria Falls Project Manager
Nix has been with us for almost 2 years now and has proved that her organizational skills are unsurpassed! Nix was previously co-managing our Antelope Park programme and has only recently moved to the Victoria Falls. You will be endeared to Nix’s warm personality and ability to smile in all circumstances! |
